LaVonda Burks

MSERN SUCCESS COACH

LaVonda Burks has called Memphis, TN home for over 5 years and now serves as a Success Coach with the Mid-South Employer Resource Network (MSERN).  Native to Illinois, LaVonda received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and later graduated from Radford University in Virginia with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice.  LaVonda has spent her career, which spans 25+ years, serving families and children in many different capacities under city, state, government and private positions.

LaVonda has a passion for service. As a natural “talker”, LaVonda connects well with those around her.  She uses this in her everyday work to build relationships that allow her to be a support and resource when needed.  With a positive energy that is contagious, LaVonda tries to encourage others to be the best version of themselves both on and off the job.

Destiny Winston

MSERN SUCCESS COACH

Destiny Winston is a proud native of Memphis and serves as a Success Coach with the Mid-South Employer Resource Network. She attended Alabama A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Psychology.

Throughout her career, Destiny has worked with both adolescents and adults as a Case Manager and is passionate about helping others. She is committed to assist and support individuals in developing their skills to gain access to needed medical, behavioral health, housing, employment, social, educational, and other services essential to being successful on and off the job.

What happens when you call your MSERN Success Coach?

To help you best, we will need to ask you for some details about your situation. We may need to see you in person and will try to be flexible around your work schedule. We will then coordinate services to address your concerns and will support you as you work through it.

Will you share my information with my employer?

Not unless you give us consent. In some cases, we may need to verify some basic job information with your employer. This could be wages, date of hire or attendance history. Personal information can be confidential, and we will not disclose why you are seeking our assistance
